(Elizabethtown Twp) – On August 20th, 2014 at approximately 10:30am, OPP officers located the body of a deceased adult male, following a search of an area where an abandoned vehicle was reported to police.
On August 19th, 2014 at approximately 6:15pm, Leeds County OPP officers responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle at a property off of Howe Road, Elizabethtown Township. Investigation indicated the vehicle was linked to a missing person incident from the City of Belleville.
Leeds OPP officers, assisted by OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, Snowmobile – All-Terrain – Vessel Enforcement (SAVE) and OPP Helicopter Unit members attended to conduct a search of the area.
Foul play is not suspected. No further details will be released.
