(MUNICIPALITY OF CENTRAL HURON, ON) On Sunday August 17, 2014 at around 12:30 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Ford Taurus travelling east bound on Huron Rd (Hwy 8) east of Goderich. The Taurus was observed weaving within its lane.
The officer pulled over the vehicle and spoke with the driver. The male driver displayed signs of impairment. He was arrested and transported to the Huron OPP Detachment where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.
Joni SHETLER (23) of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Twp. has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences; “driving while ability impairedâ€Â, and “driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in bloodâ€Â. He is to appear at the Goderich Court of Justice on September 29, 2014, to answer to these charges. He was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the car He was driving was impounded for seven days.
