(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On September 25, 2014 at approximately 12:29 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) initiated a R.I.D.E. program at Highway 7 and Guelph-Woolwich Townline, Guelph-Eramosa Township.
Officers spoke with the male driver of a 2008 Jeep and believed that he had consumed alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device test was done which resulted in a fail. He was transported to a local Operations Centre for testing.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle impounded for seven days.
Tyler MITCHELL age 32 of Kitchener has been charged with Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 17, 2014 to answer to the charge.
