(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On February 8, 2017, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft call on Bouck Road in Elliot Lake.
The complainant reported a male had entered her house and stolen two gaming consoles and numerous games. The complainant recognized the male and called police after he fled on foot. A short time later, police responded to a disturbance between two brothers on Tokyo Crescent. And, one of the brothers was the suspect from the Bouck Road theft.
Tyler KORMANY, 20 years of age, of Elliot Lake, Ontario, was charged with:
Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit and indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
Theft Under $5000, contrary to section 334(b) of the CC
Fail to Comply with Recognizance, contrary to section 145(3) of the CC
The accused was held for bail and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on February 13, 2017.
