(BRIGHTON, ON) – Sometime overnight on Monday November 25, 2013 unknown persons broke into a local business and stole a quantity of copper communication cable and two motor vehicles used at the business.
On Tuesday November 26, 2013 Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended to a report of a break and enter at the Brighton Recycling compound on County Road 64 in the Municipality of Brighton. Officers attended and were advised that a significant quantity of copper cable had been stolen that was apparently loaded into a gold/gray Pontiac Montana and a blue Dodge pickup truck. Both of these vehicles were un-plated as they were drivable scrap vehicles used to move product within the recycling compound. The estimated value of the copper cable and vehicles combined is $5,160.
OPP are continuing to investigate this theft.
