(NEW TECUMSETH,ON)- A two vehicle motor vehicle crash which occurred at approximately 12:30pm on Friday, October 10th, 2014, on County Road 10, claimed the life of a 26 yr. old Hamilton resident. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), closed County Road 10 at the 3rd line of New Tecumseth for several hours as Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) investigated this fatal crash.
A fully loaded cement truck and a crossover SUV were both travelling northbound on County Road 10 just south of the 3rd line when the cement truck rear ended the SUV sending all of its four occupants to area hospitals with serious injury. A male passenger in the SUV was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The 26 yr. old male who died as result of this crash is identified as Michael Lalonde.. The three other occupants of the SUV, were transported to hospital, where two remain in serious condition. The driver of the SUV was treated and released
