(TILLSONBURG, ON.) – Members of the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are at the scene of a two motor vehicle collision which occurred on John Pound Road.
The collision occurred east of Borden Crescent, at approximately 1:15 p.m., and involved a pickup truck and a car. The car was eastbound on John Pound Road when it lost control and stuck the westbound pickup truck.
The adult female driver of the car was transported by Oxford EMS to area hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The adult male passenger in the car was transported to area hospital with serious injuries. The adult male driver of the pickup truck was transported to area hospital with minor injuries. The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are attending the scene. Tillsonburg Fire attended the scene to assist with extrication of the injured.
Road Closure: John Pound Road between Highway #3 and Broadway Street.
The road will remain closed for several hours. OPP remind motorists to obey all road closure signs.
The collision is under investigation.
