(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – During the weekend two persons were charged by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with racing on Highway 35, south of Lindsay. As a result they had their vehicles towed from the scene and impounded for 7 days. The following persons will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on November 10, 2015.
On October 10, 2015 at approximately 1 pm, Daniel BELL, 28 years of age, of Milton reached speeds as high as 137 km/h. He was subsequently stopped and charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
On October 11, 2015 shortly after 9 am, Jennifer TANGUAY, 29 years of age, of Oshawa reached speeds as high as 144 km/h. She was subsequently stopped and charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
