(Prince Edward County, ON)â€â€On August 01 2014, at 5:15pm officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment with the assistance of the Prince Edward County Fire Department and Paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision on County Road 18 near Outlet Road, in the Ward of Athol.
The police investigation revealed that a motorcycle travelling North bound on County Road 18 had entered the South bound lane colliding with a camper trailer being towed by a pick-up truck.
Both motorcycle occupants were transported to hospital. A 43-year old Stirling man suffered life threatening injuries. A 40-year old Picton woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The police investigation is continuing.
