(KENORA, ON) Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Kenora Detachment Street Crime Unit with assistance from the Kenora OPP and the Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) Kenora Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant on a Matheson Street residence on January 22, 2014. Two men were arrested after leaving the residence and police located a number of illegal pills on them. In total, 11-18 mg, 1-6mg, and 61- 2mg Hydromorphone tablets were seized. The drugs have a street value of $1630.00.
As a result of this investigation, 22 year old Jory SMITH of Kenora has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule 1 Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act and Fail to Comply with an Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing on January 29, 2014.
Also charged is 22 year old Allen (AJ) PENCOFF of Kenora. He has been charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act. He was released and will attend Kenora Court on March 6, 2014 to answer to the charge.
