Two Impaired Drivers Arrested

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On September 12, 2015 members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting Radar enforcement on Highway 400 in Seguin Township. Police stopped a car for speeding and not having a licence plate light. Police approached a blue car and determined that the driver had consumed alcohol.

As a result of the officer’s investigation, Daniel LABRASH, 35 years of age from Parry Sound, was arrested and charged with the following:

1. Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol, contrary to the Criminal Code (CC)

2. Improper number plate light, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA)

The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on October 1, 2015 to answer to his charges.

On September 13, 2015 members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Rankin Lake Road in Seguin Township. Police attended and spoke to the driver and determined that the driver had consumed alcohol.

As a result of the officer’s investigation, Lukas ROSS, 24 years of age from Seguin Township, was arrested and charged with the following:

1. Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol, contrary to the Criminal Code (CC)

2. Careless Driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA)

The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on October 1, 2015 to answer to his charges.

The OPP is reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
