(Asphodel Norwood Township, ON) – On Saturday October 5, at approximately 10:52 am officers from Peterborough County OPP were called to a domestic dispute, on County Road 38.
Upon arriving at the scene the officers discovered that a 36 year old female and a 37 year old male had been involved in a domestic relationship that had recently ended.
The two had been at their former shared residence on County Road 38 when a verbal argument that quickly became violent and the the two had assaulted each other.
As a result of the investigation a 36 year old female resident of Asphodel Norwood, and a 37 year old male resident of Peterborough were each charged with one count of Assault.
Both parties were released with a future court date of October 17 to appear in Peterborough Provincial Courts.
