(ERIN TOWNSHIP, ON) – On December 3, 2012 at 9:15am, County of Wellington OPP were conducting moving radar and monitoring traffic on Sideroad 17 near Wellington Road 24 in Erin Township. At this time and location, Constable Dan Dusto observed a 2008 Volkswagen travelling well above the posted speed limit. Police clocked the vehicle on radar at 107km/h in a 50km/h zone.
Trevor Banbury, age 21 of Erin has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. His driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on January 2, 2013 to answer to the charge.
