(CITY OF TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol in Elk Lake on July 29, 2014.
At approximately 9:13 p.m. police observed a pick-up truck on Pine Street driving aggressively.
Police stopped the suspect vehicle to check the status of the driver.
Yves VAN PUYENBROEK 54, of James Township is facing charges of Over 80 – section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code, Disobey Stop Sign – section 136(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act, and Drive Motor Vehicle with liquor readily available – section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act.
The vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on August 26, 2014.
