Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges For Randy POST & Tammy MALLEY-ROY

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On December 6, 2014 at 4:13 a.m. a member of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no rear licence plate light on Highway 69 in Carling Township. Police investigation and a search of the vehicle led to the seizure of marihuana.

The driver, Randy POST, 42 years of age from Brantford was arrested and charged with:

1. Possession of a Schedule II Substance – under 30 grams as per the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA).

2. Improper number plate light contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

The passenger, Tammy MALLEY-ROY, 45 years of age from Brantford was arrested and charged with:

Possession of a Schedule II Substance – under 30 grams as per the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA).

Both accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Parry Sound on February 19, 2015 to answer to their charges.
