(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Saturday, July 26, 2014 at approximately 11:04 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an intoxicated male who was attempting to drive his vehicle from a social function held on the Euphrasia-Holland Town Line, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
Police attended the area and observed the suspect and a woman standing next to the vehicle in question. After further investigation, it was disclosed that the woman had been assaulted by the suspect during an argument prior to police arrival.
A 31 year old male from the Township of Chatsworth was arrested and charged with domestic assault. There were no injuries reported.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, August 14, 2014.
