R.I.D.E. CHECK LEADS OVER 80 MGS CHARGE

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On July 26, 2014 at approximately 8:05 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Wellington Road 124 near the Sixth Line of the Town of Erin. Police observed a 2003 Toyota approach the checkpoint however, the driver failed to stop for the officers and drove through the R.I.D.E. then proceeded to pullover to the south shoulder of Wellington Road 124.

Police spoke with the driver and determined that she had been drinking. She was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and her motor vehicle impounded for seven days.

Sandra GUREVSKI aged 56 of Georgetown has been charged with Over 80 MGS contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 19, 2014 to answer to the charge.
