Tony SEMENIUK – Breach, Impaired Driving, Speeding

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – On October 28, 2015, at approximately 11:21 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Longwoods Road in Strathroy Caradoc, Ontario.

Officers conducted a traffic stop of the silver Honda car, and determined that the 20-year-old male driver had been drinking alcohol. He was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment, where he refused to provide a sample of his breath.

As a result of the investigation, Tony SEMENIUK, from Strathroy Caradoc, Ontario, has been charged with fail or refuse to provide sample 254(3) alcohol/blood, driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and fail to comply with recognizance, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was further charged with possession of a schedule II substance – cannabis marihuana – under 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

The accused was held in custody and will be appearing in the London courts to answer to the charges.
