Todd DESCHAMBAULT – Drunk Driving

(TINY TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Sunday November 1, 2015 at 1:09 a.m. members from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call of an impaired driver on Lafontaine road in the Town of Penetanguishene, ON. The motor vehicle was reported to be swerving over the Centre line of the roadway.

Officers stopped the blue 2010 Ford Ranger on Lafontaine Road and determined that the male driver had been drinking. The driver was arrested and taken to Southern Georgian Bay OPP detachment for further tests.

As a result, Todd DESCHAMBAULT (age 49) of Midland, ON has been charged with:

– Driving While Ability Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

– Over 80 mgs. of alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland Ontario on November 19, 2015. The motor vehicle was also impounded for 7 days and the driver has had his licence suspended for 90 days.
