(Bancroft, Ontario) – At 10:12 a.m. on Saturday March 01st 2014, Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a snowmobile collision on the E109 trail in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands (near Lake St. Peter). Investigation revealed that three snowmobiles were in involved in the collision and three adult males who were operating the snowmobiles sustained injuries.
A 48 year old male of Selwyn Township and 51 year old male of Haldimand County sustained major injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to hospital.
A 22 year old male of Cavan-Monaghan Township sustained minor injuries.
The names of the involved drivers are not being released as the investigation is ongoing.
Investigation into the collision is ongoing with the assistance of an OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigator.
