(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Saturday, March 21, 2015, at approximately 10:48 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a disturbance and a physical altercation at The Bowling Alley (formerly Westside Bowl) located on Hwy. 6 & 21 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Three intoxicated males attended the establishment and shortly after their arrival began to disrupt other patrons with their offensive language and obnoxious and destructive behaviour which included throwing the bowling balls at the pin-reset. The three, who had been refused the purchase of alcoholic beverages, were asked to leave the premises at which time a verbal and physical altercation occurred between the three men and the owner of the business. The 60 year old victim received minor injuries as a result of the assault.
James Douglas THOMPSON, 21, of Georgian Bluffs, was charged with assault.
Darby Matthew PALMER, age 20, of Owen Sound, was charged with assault.
Lucas Andrew SCHEUFEN, age 19, of Owen Sound, was charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and breach of probation. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing on Sunday, March 22nd.
All three accused are scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, April 23, 2015.
