In the week of July 25th to July 29th, Hawkesbury OPP officers responded to 177 occurrences. Five break and enter incidents were reported. One incidents of assault and four incidents of theft were reported. Out of these 177 occurrences, three were concluded with accusations.
BREAK AND ENTER
(East Hawkesbury, ON) – Constable Luc Cote of the Hawkesbury OPP is investigating a break and enter incident that occurred sometime within the past 3 weeks in a residence of the township of East Hawkesbury.
At this time, it is unknown how the culprit(s) gained entry to the residence. It appears that once inside, the culprit(s) gathered a series of oil lamps and antique dining ware.
The stolen property was of high quality. Its estimated value is over 5000$.
The matter is still under investigation.

(Hawkesbury, ON) – Constable Pat Chartrand of the Hawkesbury OPP is investigating a break and enter incident that occurred on Sunday July 24th, 2016 between the hours of 12:00 hours and 21:30 hours. The break and enter occurred on James street in the town of Hawkesbury.
The investigation revealed that the point of entry to the residence was through the back window where the window screen had been found out of place.
Electronic devices such as two Samsung Blue-ray DVD players and numerous Blue-ray DVDs were stolen. A large amount of hockey cards were also taken at the time of the break and enter.
The matter is still under investigation and the Hawkesbury OPP is seeking the assistance of the public to report any information relating to individuals selling or attempting to sell large amounts of Blue-ray DVDs or hockey cards bundles.

(Champlain, ON) – Constable Melanie Dufresne of the Hawkesbury OPP is investigating a break and enter incident that occurred on Tuesday July 26th, 2016 between 10:20 hours and 14:30 hours. The break and enter occurred on Front road West in the township of Champlain.
The initial observations showed that the culprit(s) would have entered the residence by an open window or an unlocked door. The investigation also revealed that a silver and white iPad and assorted jewelry were stolen. The OPP Identification Unit assisted in the investigation. The dollar value of the stolen property is estimated at 2200$.
