Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a 52 year old London, ON man with several charges as a result of the investigation into thefts from an apple stands cash box in October of 2013.
The thefts occurred over the course of approximately four weeks from an apple stand on Erin Line, Municipality of Dutton/Dunwich. Surveillance footage was obtained of the suspect and posted to social media sites and in the media. With the publics and media’s assistance police were able to identify and charge Paul William, THOMAS, age 52 of London, ON with;
5 counts of Theft Under $5000
1 count of Mischief Under $5000
On January 19th, 2014 THOMAS was apprehended by the London Police Service in the City of London on the strength of an arrest warrant which had been issued in late November 2013. THOMAS was turned over to the Elgin OPP and he is currently awaiting a show cause bail hearing to be held this date January 20th, 2014.
