(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested 2 young persons in relation to a robbery at Mac’s Milk on Byron Street in Trenton.
On October 28th, 2015, at approximately 7:15pm officers were called to the location for the report of two armed suspects entering the store and demanding cash from the cashier. The suspects left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The OPP Canine Unit as well as the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) were called to assist with the investigation.
The suspects were described as wearing all dark clothing and one of the suspects was observed as being taller than the other.
As a result of a police investigation, officers from the Quinte West OPP Crime unit as well as uniform members arrested a 16 year old male and a 15 year old male on December 10th, 2015, both are from Quinte West.
The 15 year old has been charged with:
CC 344(1)(b) Robbery with Weapon
CC 351(2) Disguise with Intent
The 16 year old has been charged with:
CC 351(2) Disguise with Intent
CC 344(1)(b) Robbery with Weapon
As well the 16 year old has been further charged with four counts on failing to comply with a court order.
The names of the accused are not being released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
