(FORT SEVERN, ON) – The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS), assisted by members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North East Region Crime Unit and North West Region Forensic Identification Services, under the direction of Detective Inspector Peter Loree of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) continue their investigation into the death of George THOMAS, 45 years old, in the First Nation community of Fort Severn, Ontario.
Rebecca THOMAS-McKAY, 35 years old, was charged with Second Degree Murder and remains in custody. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on December 11, 2015.
A post mortem examination was completed on December 10, 2015 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
