On Saturday the 14th of September 2013 at approximately 6:45PM, a citizen was walking in the area of Bayfield Street and Coulter Street in Barrie. She was approached by three young males who asked if she wanted to buy some marihuana from them. They produced a bag containing a grassy substance. The female refused and called police.
Officers attended and located the youths with a fourth male nearby. They were investigated and the officers discovered that the substance they offered for sale was merely common grass. The males were ages 8, 10, 12 & 13 years of age. The four males were cautioned for the offence of trafficking in a substance held out to be a narcotic. They were taken to their homes and turned over to their parents.
