(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On March 31st, 2014 an off duty member of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police was advised that on Wednesday, March 26th at approximately 4:30 p.m. that a residential garage door on McFadden Drive in the Village of Hillsdale had been open by what appeared by the resident of this home to be a truck nearby possibly testing different remote garage door openers.
A further OPP investigation revealed that in addition a neighbour’s garage door was opened when this truck pulled into its driveway but quickly left when the above resident went outside to see what opened his garage door.
The above truck is described as:
Older model
Pickup style
Extended cab with what is commonly called a “suicide door†behind the driver’s door
The Huronia West OPP is looking to locate and speak with the driver of this truck to determine what they were doing.
