(Embrun, ON) On March 25, 2015 At 942 AM Russell County OPP received a complaint of suspicious packages at the bus shelter on Blais street in Embrun. The OPP attended the location a secured the area. The area is now closed between Marcel Street and St-Jean Baptiste Street. Some people have been evacuated. The OPP Explosive Unit is on its way. The investigation is ongoing and updates will follow.
The OPP Explosive Unit attended the scene and were able to confirm that the packages were not explosive devices and where not a danger to anyone. The area has been reopened and the OPP has cleared the scene.
