OPP CHARGE MALE DRIVER FOR POSSESSION OF MARIHUANA
(COCHRANE, ON) – On March 15, 2015, Cochrane Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop as a result of a Highway Traffic Act infraction. As a result, the driver, Manjit SINGH, 23, of Nova Scotia was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, marihuana, contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane on June 9, 2015 at 10:00 am.

OPP CHARGE MALE FOR STUNT DRIVING
(HEARST, ON) – On March 17, 2015, officers with the Hearst Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting patrols eastbound on Highway 11 in Kendall Township when they observed a westbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. As a result of the traffic stop, the driver, a young person, 17, of Hearst has been charged with stunt driving as per section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
OPP CHARGE DRIVER FOR IMPAIRED OPERATION
(KAPUSKASING, ON) – On March 15, 2015, officers with the Kapuskasing Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop. As a result of police investigation, Donald LEVESQUE, 49, of Kapuskasing was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle as well as drive while under suspension. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kapuskasing on April 20, 2015 at 10:00 am.
OPP CHARGE DRIVER WITH MULTIPLE TRAFFIC OFFENCES
(COCHRANE, ON) – On March 19, 2015, Cochrane Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint from a member of the public after a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) had lost a portion of its load onto the highway in the Cochrane area. The debris was safely removed by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and OPP without any further incident. The CMV was later located by a member of the Kapuskasing OPP at a local gas station. As a result, Baban DOEL, 23, of Calgary, Alberta was charged with:
Fail to ensure daily inspection107(4)(b) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA);
Insecure load commercial motor vehicle 111(2) of the HTA;
Fail to enter required information in daily log at end of day 19(3) Ontario Regulation under the HTA
OPP CHARGE FEMALE WITH CARE AND CONTROL
(KAPUSKASING, ON) – On March 20, 2015, officers with the Kapuskasing Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were responding to a 911 call when they observed a motor vehicle in a snow bank. Police later returned. and as result of their investigation, they have charged Trina MUTSWAIRO, 35, of Val-Rita with Care and Control while impaired as well as Fail/refuse to provide breath sample. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kapuskasing on May 25, 2015 at 10:00 am.
