(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment were contacted by a concerned homeowner after noticing (2) two suspicious males at a Concession 6, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Sunday, April 5, 2015 at approximately 8:37 p.m., a homeowner observed two males attend their residence and walk towards an outbuilding located on the property. The homeowner attended outside and confronted both males who then fled on foot from the area. The homeowner immediately contacted police and both males were subsequently located.
As a result of investigation, police arrested and charged 42 old Michael Mourice VANTHUYNE of Norfolk County, Ontario with obstruct peace officer and fail to comply with recognizance X2.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
The OPP want to remind all Norfolk County residents that if they observed anyone suspicious in or around their property or your neighbour’s property to contact the police immediately at 1-888-310-1122.
