(East-Hawkesbury, ON) On March 17th, in the Municipality of East-Hawkesbury, while on patrol, at approximately 6 pm, on Highway 417, OPP Constable Jean-Michel Maceus observed a 2008 Land Rover traveling at 155 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone.
The vehicle was intercepted. The driver, Yue GAO (25 yrs) of Saint-Laurent QC, was charged with section 172 (1) of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act for Race a motor vehicle.
The vehicle was seized and impounded for 7 days
The drivers’ licence was also seized and suspended for 7 days.
She is scheduled to appear at the L’Orignal Court on April 3rd.
