ONE YOUTH ARRESTED IN BREAK AND ENTER INVESTIGATION

(Hawkesbury, ON) A break and enter was reported at a Wellesley apartment complex on March 20th at approximately 6pm, in the Town of Hawkesbury.

A Wellesley resident entered his apartment and noticed that someone had broken in through a window. The thief left the scene taking a case of beer and some video games.

Constable Jean-Alexandre Robillard-Cardinal of the Hawkesbury OPP responded to the scene.

The investigation led to the arrest of a 14 year old boy.

The recovered items were returned to the owner.

The young person, who cannot be named, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with section 348(1)(a) for Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence.

He was also charged under the Youth Criminal Justice Act with section 137 for 2 counts of Failure to comply with disposition.

He is scheduled to appear at youth court on April 9th.
