STRANDED/ABANDONED VEHICLES IN GREY COUNTY

(CHATSWORTH, ON) – The dust, or rather snow, has settled in Grey County after a winter storm, with blizzard and wind chill warnings, hit the area this past Monday.

Between 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 and 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 25 calls for service regarding stranded/abandoned motor vehicles. Five (5) motor vehicle collisions were investigated resulting in one driver being charged with “failing to share half roadway-meeting vehicle” on Grey Rd. 2 near Concession 10 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. No injuries were reported.
