Stormont Dundas Press Releases

(South Dundas) – On October 2, 2016 at approximately 2:24am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a vehicle stopped on County Road 2, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Brendan GALLIVAN (21) of South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired

– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle With More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on December 16, 2016.

THEFT FROM TRAILERS

(North/South Dundas) – SD&G OPP have received several reports of camping trailers being targeted at properties in North & South Dundas Townships.

– (Overnight October 30-31,2016) At a business location on County Road 7, North Dundas Township (Chesterville), four (4) units were targeted – two (2) flat screen televisions were stolen and gas syphoned.

– (Overnight October 31-November 1,2016) At a property on Queen Street, North Dundas Township (Chesterville), a unit was entered and a television taken

– (Over last 2 weeks) At a property on County Road 2, South Dundas Township (Morrisburg), several units were entered – nothing taken but damaged caused.

Investigations continue.
