PUBLIC ASSISTANCE SOUGHT IN CURBING BREAK-INS
Residents urged to report suspicious activity
(South Dundas) – On April 8, 2015 Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to four (4) reports of break-ins at residences in South Dundas Township.
Homes on Hutt Road, Irena Road, Branch Road and Rowena Road in South Dundas Township were forcibly entered during the day (April 8, 2015). Computer and electronics were targeted. At the Branch Road incident, a Stihl MS260 chainsaw, white/orange in an orange storage box was stolen. A vehicle was captured on surveillance camera described as a 4 door Pontiac G3 Wave, red/orange.photos of vehicle uploaded on Media Portal
Residents are encouraged to call OPP immediately (1-888-310-1122) with as much detail as possible if suspicious vehicles/persons are observed.
DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(South Dundas) – On April 7, 2015 at approximately 2:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on County Road 31, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his spouse resulted in the female being assaulted.
The 64-year-old male was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault – Spousal
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on April 28, 2015.
