Stolen Vehicle Results in Multiple Charges

(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Bracebridge detachment members have recovered a stolen vehicle and have charged a male with multiple drug related offences.

In the late afternoon of February 10, 2014 the Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) and Muskoka Vice members located a stolen pickup truck in the Bracebridge area. A thorough investigation was conducted and resulted in the arrest of a Bracebridge man. The CDAT and Muskoka Vice officers arrested the man and found him to be in possession of Heroin, Cocaine, and Oxycontin. The street value of the drugs is estimated to be $740 dollars.

The 23-year-old male Mackenzie WEAVER of Bracebridge has been charged with

CC 354(1)(a) Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
CDSA 4(1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Heroin
CDSA 4(1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
CDSA 4(1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs
CC 733.1(1) Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)

The male has been held in custody and will appear in Bracebridge court on the morning of February 12, 2014 to answer to his charges.
