(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On February 10, 2014, a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting RADAR enforcement on Highway 401 near Drake Side Road.
Just before 6:30 p.m., the officer observed a westbound Dodge vehicle that appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit of 100 km/hr. The RADAR registered a speed of 167 km/hr.
Justine MATHER, age 27, from Niagara Falls, ON has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The driver’s licence has been suspended and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days, as per statute.
