A 20 year old man and a 42 year old woman both from the Municipality of Bayham as well a 26 year old St. Thomas man have be arrested and charged with several criminal offences after police executed two search warrants on residences in Port Burwell, ON and the City of St. Thomas on Friday December 12th, 2014.
On December 10th, 2014 police received a report of the theft of two motorcycles (dirt bikes) from a shed at a residence on Culloden Road, Municipality of Bayham. It was reported that the motorcycles were taken sometime between November 28th, 2014 and December 10th, 2014. The motorcycles were described as a Black and Green 2007 Kawasaki 450 motorcycle and a Blue 2005 Yamaha 50cc motorcycle.
As a result of the police investigation the Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Property Crimes Unit conducted a search warrant around 10am at a residence on MacNeil Court, Port Burwell, ON. The search warrant resulted in police recovering a 2007 Kawasaki 450 Motorcycle (dirt bike) as well as seizing approximately 14 grams of ground Marihuana. Police arrested two parties at the residence without incident.
Brandon Christopher, CHRISTOPH age 20 of Port Burwell, ON has been charged with;
Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code.
Possession of a Schedule II Substance under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
CHRISTOPH has been remanded into custody pending a show cause bail hearing to be held on December 18th, 2014.
Katherine, GREGSON, age 42 of Port Burwell, ON has been charged with;
Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code.
Possession of a Schedule II Substance under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
GREGSON has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in St.Thomas Criminal Court on January 26th, 2015.
Further investigation resulted in the Elgin County OPP Property Crimes Unit in conjunction with the City of St.Thomas Police Service executing a search warrant in the early evening at a residence on Catherine Street in the City of St.Thomas, ON. As a result of the search police recovered a Blue 2005 Yamaha 50cc motorcycle and a small quantity of a controlled substance. Police arrested the 26 year old male resident without incident.
Arrested and charged is Brooks Leonard, FERRIS, age 26 of St. Thomas. He is charged with;
Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code.
Possession of a Schedule II Substance under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
FERRIS has been remanded into custody pending a show cause bail hearing to be held on December 18th, 2014
