(KINCARDINE, ON) – On December 13, 2016, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the South Bruce OPP Property Crimes unit executed a search warrant at a property on South Street, in Kincardine.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized numerous items of stolen property, methamphetamine, and cannabis marijuana. The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances was $190.00.
Twenty-two-year-old James MERRITT of Kincardine was charged with 2 counts of possessing a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, break and enter and careless storage of a weapon. He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for December 14, 2016.
Twenty-one-year-old Dawn DANFORD of Kincardine was charged with 2 counts of possessing a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and careless storage of a weapon. She was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for December 14, 2016.
A 17-year-old young person was charged with 2 counts of possessing a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. and careless storage of a weapon. The youth will be appearing in court as required to answer to the charges. They can’t be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
