(Pembroke, Ontario) – On Sunday, September 8th, officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a robbery at a convenience store located on Pembroke Street East in the City of Pembroke.
Investigation revealed that, at 10:10 pm, a lone male, entered the store. He was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt and black pants, with his face disguised by a black bandana with white dots. After threatening the clerk and demanding money, the male made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, consisting of five-dollar bills and coin. No one was injured.
On Thursday, September 19th, 2013 as a result of a police investigation 22 year old Steven POTVIN of Pembroke, Ontario and 25 year old Michael ZADOW of Petawawa, Ontario were both arrested and charged with:
1) Armed Robbery
2) Wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence
Both men were held for a bail hearing scheduled for September 20, 2013.
