(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On June 24, 2015 at approximately 6:50 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling Jones Baseline near Mill Road, Guelph-Eramosa Township. A male driving a 2003 Porsche was observed travelling southbound well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 132 km/h in an 70 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Stephen RASMUSSEN age 41 of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on July 15, 2015 to answer the charge.
