(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On June 24, 2015 at approximately 9:08 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling Highway 6 near Paisley Road, Guelph. A male driving a 2013 Ford pickup truck was observed travelling southbound well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 127 km/h in an 70 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Duane KOCHER age 43 of Centre Wellington Township has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on July 15, 2015 to answer the charge.
