(THUNDER BAY, ON) On Saturday, July 18, 2015 at approximately 9:30 pm, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a sexual assault that occurred at Fort William Historical Park.
Officers attended Fort William Historical Park and commenced an investigation. Officers were informed that a sexual assault on a female had taken place in a portable shower stall on the grounds of the park.
While at the park, officers located Stephen MACKENZIE, 19 years of age, from Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. He was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault and Forcible Confinement contrary to the Criminal Code. He was held in custody for a video court appearance and was remanded into custody.
