(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON.) The Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 37 year old Sioux Lookout resident in relation to a stabbing incident over the weekend.
During the evening of Saturday November 23rd, officers from the Sioux Lookout OPP responded to a disturbance at the Out of the Cold Shelter. The investigation revealed that two female residents had an argument with each other, and during the course of the argument, one of the residents stabbed the other several times.
The victim was taken to the Sioux Lookout Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre where they were treated with non-life threatening injuries and later released.
Charged with assault with a weapon and breach of probation is Ruby CAPAY of Sioux Lookout. CAPAY remains in custody and will appear in Sioux Lookout bail court on November 25, 2013.
