(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On November 24, 2013 at approximately 6:15pm Quinte West OPP officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Dundas St West near Queen St.
When officers arrived on scene they observed a motor vehicle that had hit the rear of a trailer that had been in the Trenton Santa Claus Parade. At the time of the collision no one was on the float.
When officers attended to the driver of the vehicle that collided with the float it appeared as though he was in some sort of medical distress.
The 40 year old male driver from Trenton was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one else was hurt in the collision and the investigation is continuing.
The trailer sustained minimal damage and the vehicle driven by the 40 year old male party sustained approximately $2000 in damage.
