(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On April 21, 2014 at approximately 11:16 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2001 GMC pick-up truck for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Lake Road near Wellington Road 32 in Puslinch Twp.
Upon speaking with the driver police detected the strong odour of fresh marihuana inside the motor vehicle. Officers subsequently searched the vehicle and seized drug paraphernalia as well as a quantity of tetrahydrocannabinol pills.
Anthony Sousa aged 23 of Cambridge has been charged with Possession of Marihuana – Tetrahydrocannabinol pills contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on May 23, 2014 to answer to the charges.
