(RED LAKE, ON) – Officers of the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the operator of a snowmachine that is believed to have gone through the ice last night or today.
On January 21, 2017 officers responded to a report of a hole in the ice on the Red Lake side of Highway 125 at Chukuni River Bridge. Officers observed snowmachine tracks leading to a hole in the ice and footprints leading away from the hole. Police need to ensure whomever was involved is safe and was alone at the time.
