(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Friday March 21, 2014 Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Muskoka EMS attended a Menominee Lake Road address in the town of Huntsville for a report of a snowmobile crash. The driver was ejected from the machine and lying on the driveway of a residence.
Investigation found that the driver Jason WINKWORTH (44yrs) of Haldimand County had been drinking. He was eventually issued a 3 day driver’s licence suspension for registering in the warn range. He was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
As the snowmobile season continues in Muskoka, Huntsville OPP would like to remind sledders to not drink and drive, know the area you are traveling in and sled responsibly.
