Small Fire At Sydenham High School

(SOUTH FRONTENAC TOWNSHIP, ON) On Monday 13th April 2015 at approximately 9:10 a.m., Sydenham High School located at Rutledge Road in the town of Sydenham was evacuated for two hours due to a small fire inside the school.

South Frontenac Fire Department and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the high school. It was determined that the fire was started and contained in the female bathroom on the lower level of the school.

All students and staff had safely evacuated the school and no injuries reported due to the fire. There was minimal smoke damage to the wall and ceiling of the bathroom. School officials and the OPP are continuing their investigation in to the cause of the fire.
