Small Amount Of Marijuana Taken Off The Streets

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On May 24, 2015, just after 11:30 p.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducted a traffic stop on a Kia Optima for a speeding violation on Highway 401 westbound, near Communication Road.

During subsequent OPP traffic investigation, the occupants of the vehicle were found to be in possession of a small quantity of suspected marihuana.

As a result, the driver, 27 year old Brandon PARRY, from Windsor, has been charged with Possession of Marihuana, under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and Speeding, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The female passenger, 20 year old Rylee QUINN, from Windsor, has been charged with Possession of Marihuana, under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

They are both scheduled to appear in a Chatham court on June 25, 2015, to answer to the charges.
